Nos está costando volver a la realidad después del fin de semana tan maravilloso que hemos pasado en el primer evento de España sobre BJD y muñecas en general. También ha sido la primera vez que hemos tenido un stand, y volvemos emocionados con la experiencia, que no ha podido ser más enriquecedora: hemos aprendido muchas cosas, hemos sorprendido a los visitantes y nos hemos rodeado de gente maravillosa que hacía tiempo que no veíamos, junto con caras nuevas.
It's beeing too hard getting back to reality after the incredible weekend we spent at first spanish event about BJD and dolls in general. It is also been our first time that we have a stand, and we loved the rewarding experience: we've learned many things, we've surprised the visitors and we have get surrounded by awesome people that didn't see in long time, plus some new faces.
La organización se portó estupendamente con nosotros, en primer lugar situándonos en un lugar privilegiado según se accedía a la sala. También nos proporcionó todo lo que solicitamos (cometimos errores garrafales como olvidarnos un alargador, ¡muy mal!) y agua, litros y litros de agua que nos venían de maravilla, ya que tener que explicar una y otra vez el proceso de impresión 3D resecaba un poco la garganta.
The staff treated us really good, first of all by placing us in a privilege location just entering in the room. They also supplied us everything we ask for (we made many beginner mistakes like forget an extension lead, so bad!), and water, many litres of water that we really appreciated, because having to explain over and over the 3D printer functioning dried up the throat a lot.
Me encantó la cantidad de gente que se interesó por Purrusa (la impresora 3D), haciendo miles de preguntas, mirando con cara de incredulidad cómo se iba extruyendo línea a línea la cabeza de Kalice en color verde que pusimos como muestra. Y yo no me cansé de repetir que así me sentí la primera vez que ví cómo una máquina que yo misma había construido imprimía las cosas que modelaba en 3D. Alucinante.
I enjoyed the amount of people that showed interest in Purrusa (our 3D printer), asking a million things, staring with a surprising look in their faces as green Kalice's head was extruding as example. And I couldn't help feeling like the very first time I watched how a machine built for myself printed the objects I modelled in 3D. Amazing.
Debido a la unicación del stand, pudimos ver los concursos en primera fila, y ver cómo el Capitán Garfio, para el que colaboramos imprimiendo precisamente el garfio (es difícil encontrar prótesis para msd, jejeje), encontraba un nuevo hogar en manos de la artista Kao-chan. Desde aquí mi más sincera enhorabuena.
Due to the stand position, we could watched the games really nice and see how Captain Hook, whom we colaborated printing the hook (it's hard to find msd sized prosthesis, hahaha), found a new home with the artist Kao-Chan. We want to congratulate her sincerely.
Finalizada la impresión de la cabeza de Kalice, decidimos seguir haciendo trabajar a Purrusa imprimiendo otros modelos que tuvieron también muy buena aceptación, y que descargamos en un momento de la página thingiverse, como BMO (Adventure Time), el broche lunar (Sailor Moon) o una carcasa para iphone. Si es modelable, es imprimible.
When Kalice's head printing finished, we decided to keep Purrusa working other models that also liked a lot and we downloaded from Thingiverse site, like BMO (Adventure Time), a moon brooch (Sailor Moon) or an iphone case. If it can be modelled, it can be printed.
Una vez cerraron las puertas al público, la organización tuvo el detallazo de invitarnos a una copita de champán y un pequeño piscolabis para celebrar el rotundo éxito de la primera edición del Dolls&Party. Que con sus pequeños fallos, de los que todos aprendemos, y sus grandes aciertos, esperamos que sea la primera de muchas más ediciones.
When the doors closed to the public, the staff had an incredible detail by inviting us to a glass of champagne and a little snack to celebrate the categorical success of the Dolls&Party first edition. Besides the small mistakes from we all learn, and the big skills, we all wish this to be the first of many more editions.
